This is a busy pedestrian route for local residents, school children, and the elderly/seniors, mobility scooters. The Pavement is only 68cm wide and cars are a always parked on the road side, and when social distancing is required the only route is onto the road which is a high speed cut through/rat run of over 1550 vehicles a day which avoid the main traffic lights on the A5111. Residents Petition to close the road is being considered.
Solution is to stop cut through traffic by closing North Street/ Eastwood Drive at any point leaving it open to pedestrians and cycling.
