The road here is three lanes wide with a large central reservation, there is enogh room to put in dedicated onstreet cycle lanes. You could also take out some of the turns into Westfield and make cars turn around at the roundabout making traffic flow better. The road crossings should also cross both carriageways at teh same time as this just slows people down. Leicster is doing this more and more and its really good.

Road surface needs sorting.

A clearer cycle/walking section for the path. Increased lighting and trimming of trees to increase safety when using the path in the evenings. This is my fastest path home from work at the RDH however in winter I take a longer route down Uttoxeter Road and up Ashbourne Road as do not feel safe using this path once it is dark. Improving this path would encourage more people to walk to Kingsway from the local area, reducing traffic at the island and into Kingsway.

Need cycle paths throughout derby so no need to use roads

The whole of Uttoxeter Road is very very narrow for the amount of traffic that needs to use it. Join this with a horrendous road surface and delivery vans frequently parked over cycle lanes and, even with the majority of drivers being considerate, it feels like a death trap for cyclists.

This is a very busy road so either a cycle lane on the road or footpath would be good. This is used by school children as well as people commuting on their bikes

Cycle path along the A52 from Highfield Lane and Meadow Lane becomes overgrown and is so bumpy bits on my bike fall off, needs smoothing out and making wider.

An entrance to the new shared cycle / pedestrian path. Cyclists have to stop and lift their bikes up a large kerb at present, so tend to ignore it and continue cycling on the road.

Gaps in speed humps to allow cycles to navigate them comfortably. Existing humps with kerb stones embedded are harsh on a bike.

As dual carriageway reduces to single lane, cyclists at risk from cars cutting in or dangerously overtaking. Physical separation needed from traffic lights (Sinfin Lane) to Village Street junction.

Cyclists turning right from Uttoxeter Rd to Western Rd have to cross a lane of fast moving traffic to get into the right turn lane. Then getting onto the cycle cut-through opposite the pelican crossing is awkward. New physical infrastructure is needed to make this safer (eg an exit for cycles on left to allow them to safely cross all traffic lanes using a shared pedestrian / cycle crossing).

Change footway to cycleway to give access to Morrisons from Little Eaton/Breadsall/top end Chester Green (in theory you'd be expected to ride down the A61!)

Make Abbey Street access only so that it becomes a safe route for cycling and walking

On Burton Road between the traffic lights at Abbey Street and the start of the Bus Lane just after Gerard Street cycle have to cycle in the middle of the road to avoid parked car doors and all the potholes in the centre of the traffic lane.. A dedicated cycleway is required.

Repair and tarmac shared use path from Raynesway Bridge to the B5010. In the short term just repair the flood damaged sections.

Make the junction between Allestree Lane ,Blenheim Drive and Oakover Drive a 4 way stop. This would slow traffic down on Allestree Lane and make this dangerous junction safer for cyclists and pedestrians, particularly young people going to Woodlands school.

To stop rat running in Ford Lane estate a road closure should be added to stop access from Ford Lane to A38. This is best done on Derbyshire land but could be done on Derby land at junction of Lambourne Drive and Ford lane with access onwards just to reach premises

Convert current footpath alongside the A52 a multi use path so that riders can safely cycle up to Radbourne Lane and beyond

Simple solution to problem of rat runs and driving the wrong way on a one way is to close it full stop and make it only walking and cycling.

Add in provision for cyclist to cross over the dual carriageway providing a direct safe link between st Albans Rd and Constable lane.

Improve outbound cycle lane to 1.5m segregated not the current 50cm cycle lane we have that puts cyclists in the gutter.

Retain the on road cycle bus and taxi provision by The Greyhound Pub, reduce the number of outbound car lanes and add in a outbound on road 1.5m segregated path.

Close this to cars and the bottom end of Babbington lane. create more space for pedestrians and cyclists.

Close the bridge to cars

Close this road to cars as was originally intended when Connecting Derby was first put forward. Closing this road to cars will stop a rat run across the city centre and make the roads much safer for walkers and cyclists.

No need for a through road here.

This road goes between two parks on either side of the road. The road is a rat run between two major arterial routes. There is a major dual carriageway about 400m away. Easy to use.

Make the whole of Church Lane/ Mileash Lane 1-way, northbound only.

Close the road off from here to stop through traffic using it as a shortcut to manor road.

Widen the footpath and add greenery similar to Crich avenue, footpath is too narrow especially when trying to socially distance, people have to go on to the road and the traffic can be busy at times.

Pavement not wide enough for cyclists and pedestrians. Westbound: Cycle lane ends abruptly close to bend obscuring view of oncoming traffic. Cyclists have to cross road and rejoin carriageway with limited visibility when heading NW. improve surface and accessibility of pathway behind hedge for cyclists/pedestrians heading in opposite directions.

Cars are using Lawn Heads Avenue as a short cut cutting across to get to manor road, in the process they are speeding down and are sometime travelling double the 20mph speed limit. By closing the Avenue off it will make it safer for residents also cyclist and walkers that use this route. There have been too many near misses and this will also help reduce pollution levels around the area reducing unwanted traffic.

Normanton Rd is a vibrant commercail street, but narrow pavements, busy traffic and car parking make social distancing impossible with customers queuing outside shops. Close Normanton Road to all traffic except cycles, buses and delivery vehicles and make a 20mph speed limit.

Separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians near the primary school, it can be dangerous at school time.

Crossing lghts to cross are very slow to change for pedestrians and cyclists, change lights give priority to these users at the lights.

This is right next a school and cycleway, pedestrians and cyclists should have priority crossing not cars.

Lawn Heads Avenue is being used as a rat run ideally if closed off from Burton Road this will be ideal there are a lot of children living on the avenue and motorist are not adhering to the 20mph limit. Would also make an ideal walking and cycling route

There needs to be a wheel channel alongside the steps here, and a track put in place alongside Mansfield Road to link to Chester Green. The path from Pektron to this point needs clearing and widening. A link to The Great Northern Greenway and the Racecourse Cycletrack is also needed by installing a cycle/pedestrian crossing at Bristol Street roundabout.

London Road leads directly to the NHS sites off Oxford Street and a connection is required to enable NHS staff to cycle from the cycle paths on the inner ring road to the NHS sites - London Road Community Hospital. Pop-up cycle lane all the way along London Road from Bradshaw Way to Batemen Street/Osborne St.

The shared path from London Road onto Bradsahw Way is so narrow only one person acan WALK through there at a time. The left lane on London Road needs to be coned off, and the cones extended round the corner onto Bradshaw Way to allow cyclists and pedestrians to navigate through this bottle neck. The left lane on Bradshaw Way. Access back onto the wider shared path is needed once onto Bradshaw Way.

Very narrow pavement on corner of Osmaston Road and Lara Croft Way. Left lane to be coned off on Osmastion Road from where one lane widens to two lanes; coned ff area to extend round the corner onto Lara Croft Way as far as the sccess point back onto the cycle path. This space can be used by pedestrians and cyclists.

Create new off road cycle path all the way from Friar Gate Bridge south west, through Friar Gate goods yard, around back of new school, parallel to Slack lane and then onto Royal Derby Hospital
