Wardwick and Victoria Street should be closed to all motorised vehicles and become cycle and pedestrian only. The river running under Victoria street should be uncovered to create a beautiful waterside multi-user path.

Crossing lights are too slow to change for cyclists and pedestrians meaning that most users just chance rushing across rather than wait. Seen many near misses her esp with school children.

This cycleway need opening to improve personal safety. This cycleway is dark and poorly illuminated with large areas shaded by the trees and shielded from the road so no visibility by others passing by.

Upgrade the path between Park Road and Derby rd across the playing fields to provide better access between Spondon village and Asda. This is an obvious improvement to encourage people to cycle to Asda from Spondon rather than driving. Existing routes using Acorn Way or Merchant Ave are busy with traffic and have awkward road crossings. The suggested route would link directly with the existing crossing opposite The bank pub.

Close Spindletree Drive at this location and impose 20 mph on all the residential streets.

Close the street at this location to become dead end roads, closing the loop formed by Amesbury Lane and Chandlers Ford. All the streets in this area should then have a 20 mph speed restriction.

Competing with traffic when crossing the junction and cycling towards the hospital from city centre. Cycle lane needed across the junction and all the way to the hospital

I wish the council would get the basics right with road like this. The correct order is Footpath-cycle-lane-parked cars- carriageway. Cars should not have to cross the cycle lane to park, the cars protect the cycle lane.

London Road needs segregated cycle lanes. Presently this road is the barrier to cycling for many, cutting them off from the riverside path, canal path and Rayneway path. The potential benefit of making cycling on the road safe and point closures on select roads could see a big increase in cycling numbers.

Plenty of width for a cycleway if hatching in the middle of the road is removed and on road parking addressed. Lots of bused go along this corridor so providing a safe connection to town or Harvey Road cycle routes is needed.

Make Exeter place access only with a point closure, cars can go round. This will mean pedestrians can walk in the road safely and cyclists have a safe route through.

Bi-Directional Segregated cycleway needed on Full Street. Remove on street parking and reduce to one car lane.

No direct link from canal path to RR.
Widen pavement on Boulton Lane, install cycle phases at Chellaston Road, link to service road north side of Merrill Way and complete the gaps in the cycleways to Wilmore Road. Then use the Wilmore Road pavement to Sinfin Lane via Shakespeare Street (removing the cobbled bumps), widen the pavement to Sinfin Lane, which would link with ASDA for shopping and Stenson for leisure.

Let’s link up Allestree park into a Duffield link - would need a crossing over the A6 in the corner of the A6 and Burley Lane

The A6 is horrible to ride on with children - there is no link between Allestree and Darley abbey into town

Getting from Chaddesden Lane to Highfield Lane and back was the most dangerous part of my commute when I went this way. A cycle lane on the south side so that you don't need to navigate in and out of parked cars on Nottingham Road and point closure on the end of The Crescent would make this more desirable to people who are less confident.

Let’s put in a seperated cycle way all along the A6

Pavement too narrow under the bridge, take some space from cars. If that isn't possible remove a whole lane from cars to give space for walking and cycling.

Pavement is too narrow on the east side of Queens Street where the buses stop. Remove a lane of general traffic to widen roads and install safer cycling.

This junction is too wide, it encourages high speeds and rat running and is a danger to cross

It would be nice to ride down Kedleston Road with lines marked on road all the way to town, without having to keep getting of and cycling down back streets,. I feel vunrable at times & take my chance on the road.

Pavement not wide enough for the number of pedestrians. Make the Nun street one way (with cyclist contraflow) and widen the pavements for pedestrians.

This street has to narrow a pavement and is used a lot by locals to get to Sainsbury's. Block of the street to through traffic to give more space to locals and provid a safer connection for cyclists and people walking.

There is a cyclist/motorcyclist priority box at these traffic lights. However cyclists cannot get to the box due to the close proximity of traffic

Osamaston Road, Ascot Drive and London Road are a nightmare to cycle on in normal (pre-COVID) traffic. These roads need proper cycle lanes.

Path under railways bridge here is too narrow, with poor vision for cyclists and walkers entering or leaving underpass

The multi use path here is only about a meter wide. It floods during periods of moderate to heavy rain. Sometimes it remains flooded for a week or so.

40 mph speed limit from Church Road until Menin Road and no cycleway until Allestree Lane junction. Family cyclists often use single pavement due to vehicle speeds and occasional quarry lorries from Weston Underwood

London Road pavement to have cycle path, everybody uses the pavement anyway so way not legalise it.

Pavement is too narrow for people to pass safely. Also route between infant and junior schools. Reported to me by resident in Old Hall Road.

Parked cars definitely dominate this road. Who an earth gave a student hall accommodation or any type of accommodation the going ahead without adequate on site parking. Solution. Make a deal with the 2 carparks at the end of the street for residents. Retain some parking spaces for disabled. Turn the road into parklets, outdoor space, circle lanes. Can be a dangerous road due to speeding vehicles racing. It’s a built up family area now too so outdoor space and wider paths would be beneficial and healthier

This is a very busy through route for pedestrians, speeding boy/girl racers, this street is exceptionally busy with parked cars on both sides. This street would benefit from, the paths being wider to accommodate people feeling confident with being able to socially distance. Maybe become a one way street to accommodate wider paths.

Cycle and walking routes needed from Chaddesden/Oakwood to Broomfield college for students. Lime Lane is too dangerous but tempting as more direct.

Uttoxeter New Road between Manor Road and Rowditch: cone off 1 lane and ban parking at Rowditch, to create a two-way cycle lane between Manor Road and Hoult Street. Some demarcation on a pavement between Rowditch Ave and Lonsdale Place also needed to enable it.

New Pedestrian path / Cycleway into the back of Kingsway Retail Park would mean local residents dont have to drive to sainsburys etc they could easily walk

North South Cycle Lane from Meadow Lane Bridge up through Chaddesden towards Oakwood, giving residents of Chaddesden a cleaner safer route to city centre/pride park etc.

From Full Street all teh way down the moreledge could be a cycle lane. Full Street has ample room if car parking bays removed. This is right next to chapel street car park so spaces not needed. Would create a safer route through teh city for cyclists and help pedestrians.

The pedstrian crossing lights are designed for acrs and are very slow to change meaning many people are put off walking and cycling or cross when its not safe which then slows drivers down the pedstrian priority needs speeding up

Problem is many drivers zigzag through the estate from Duffield Road to reach the inner ring road by Causey Bridge using very unsuitable roads. Closing Darley Lane will prevent through traffic whilst also allowing access to all the residences. Much better environment for cycling and walking will result.

the visibility for pedestrians crossing around this roundabout is extremely poor and dangerous as drivers approach too fast and with no sight lines. This intersection needs redesigning to make safer places for pedestrians to cross, providing them better visibility of moving traffic.

School day closure of Vicarage Road between Park road and Farneworth Road at start and end of day, with parking removed, to give space for children to arrive on foot and by bike in a safe environment while maintianing social distance.

Western Road between Chevin Ave & Arundel Ave has very narrow pavements and bus stops on them. The pavements need to be widened to enable social distancing; I suggest the road becomes one-way for motor vehicles on this section with a single lane heading from Chevin Ave towards Arundel Ave. Cyclists sould share the on-road section of the widened path. It would require a bus re-routing in one direction via Arundel Ave.

An extension of the Harvey Road cycle track along Osmaston Park Road to the Barracks, then widen the pavement down Sinfin Lane to ASDA.
This, combined with a wheel trough on Lodge Lane footbridge over tha A52, would provide a route from Chaddesden to the main sources of work in Derby from large housing areas.

create a 3m wide path/cycleway between the roundabout and south Avenue, so cycles can join the Darley Abbey riverside path from South Avenue

add safe crossings around the roundabout to enable cyclists continue on the A6. this could be a two way 3m wide route with traffic control as at the Little Eaton Roundabout on the A38

the footway on the east side of the A6 could be widened into a m joint cycleway and footway from Duffield to the A38 junction

Close the road here to prevent through traffic passing the school, and add filtered barrier at the junction with Silverburn Drive for access to the school and community centre. This will prevent boy racers speeding around Springwood Drive and provide quieter road space for school children.

This road is very busy, narrow and nominally 40 mph and on a steep hill and poses a danger to cyclists ascending or descending as drivers pass very close and excessively fast. The speed should be reduced so that it is compatible with vulnerable road users (refer to Vision Zero). Alternatively provide a cycle route around the Western side of Elmwood Drive for cyclists and pedestrians, commencing at the back of The Padock pub and following the hedge to the road at the top of the hill opposite Stratford Road.

Route of existing cycleway RCN 66 and NCN 672 runs on Old Mansfield Road mixing with traffic. There is space behind the hedge on the west side of the road for an off road route connecting to existing off road route to the south for onward journeys into Derby

There is only a pavement on the western side of the road and it is barely wide enough for two people to pass without stepping into the road. there is a desperate for a wider pavement or an alternative going on the western side of Elmwood Drive estate.

Darley Abbey is used as rat run for avoiding southbound queuing traffic on Duffield Road making the local roads unattractive for cycling and walking due to fast and frequent traffic. Close MileAsh Lane for southbound traffic (except for cycles and emergency vehicles and buses)
